History watch: Five innings into the game, we had three chances at seeing something amazing at the Great American Ball Park. The Red's Johnny Cueto had a perfect game going through five innings, Ken Griffey Jr. had a shot at his 600th home run, and had a single and double in his first two at bats (we were hoping for a cycle). Needless to say, nothing big happened. Cueto lost the perfect game on a bunt single, then gave up back-to-back home runs. Griffey was intentionally walked in his last at bat. We booed heavily.

Amazing Americana sight of the day: We stopped to fill up the gas tank at a fuel station in southern Ohio. It had quite possibly the most amazing bathroom ever. Graffiti was all over the walls. The most notable scrawling? "The road to hell is paved by Obama." And this was BEFORE we saw the garage with the giant Confederate flag painted on it.

Disgusting moment: Colin decided to spend the final three hours of the drive with his shirt off. He was pretty smelly.
